Resin filter element is suitable for water source with high salt content and biochemical substance extraction, and sugar liquid decolorization.
Regeneration of resin filter element
The regeneration of the resin filter element is carried out with a dilute solution of sodium chloride and water. After you use it for a period of time, it feels a bit astringent. You can take out the softening filter, soak it in saturated salt water overnight, and use it. The principle of regeneration is that a dilute brine solution flows through the resin and comes into contact with resin beads carrying calcium and magnesium ions. Although calcium and magnesium ions carry more electricity than sodium ions, concentrated salt solutions contain millions of weakly charged sodium ions, which have the ability to replace a smaller number of calcium and magnesium ions. When calcium and magnesium ions are replaced (after the exchange), eventually, the exchange sites are all occupied by sodium ions, the resin has been regenerated, and the next softening (work) cycle is ready
