The design of continuous countercurrent extraction equipment is based on the principle of continuous countercurrent extraction. The main equipment is composed of spiral feeder, spiral propulsion continuous countercurrent extraction tank (with steam heating jacket outside), unique continuous solid-liquid separation mechanism, continuous slag discharge mechanism and transmission mechanism, and can be equipped with advanced computer intelligent control.

The solid herbal raw materials to be extracted (Chinese medicinal materials or natural plants) are added from the hopper at the upper part of the feeder and continuously sent to the low end of the leaching tank by the screw feeder. The screw propeller in the leaching tank steadily pushes the solid materials to the high end. The effective ingredients are continuously leached and the residues are discharged by the high-end slag discharge mechanism. At the same time, the solvent enters from the high end of the leaching tank and permeates the solid materials to the low end. In the process, the concentration is increasing continuously, and the extraction solution is derived from the solid-liquid separation mechanism at the bottom of the leaching tank.
